Pride Week · Late July into August 2026
For nine days the city becomes one long party: block parties in the gay quarter, concerts and talks, and on the final Saturday huge crowds lining the Prinsengracht to watch decorated boats drift past. Rooms are gone months in advance, and we keep more women on call than usual for the entire stretch.
Few Pride festivals look like this one. Instead of filling a single park or stadium, it spreads through the city for about nine days at the turn of July and August, with parties on the Reguliersdwarsstraat and around Rembrandtplein, film nights, talks, club events and the open-air Pride Park. Then comes the part you will not see anywhere else: the Canal Parade, a procession of dressed-up boats on the Prinsengracht while spectators pack every bridge and quay. A Pride parade that floats is something only this city offers.
Visitors arrive from all over the world and stay for days on end, and the atmosphere in the streets is relaxed and generous. For us it is a full, friendly part of the summer, handled with the same calm respect a booking gets in any other month.
Picture Pride as a slope rather than a single spike. The opening days are cheerful and spread out; hotels are full, yet crossing the centre is still easy. Toward the end the crowds thicken fast, and parade Saturday is the moment the whole festival leads up to. That curve tells you how to plan. On a weekday, messaging a few hours before is normally fine. For the last weekend, and above all the parade day, write to us at least a day early, since free women and open routes into the centre both run short.
The parade is a joy to watch, and for several hours in the middle of the Saturday it also seals off the streets along the canals. Work with it rather than against it. A morning booking before the boats set off, or an evening one after the last of them has gone by, runs smoothly. An arrival while the procession is moving cannot happen within the usual 45 to 60 minutes. If you want company for the whole day, an overnight of eight hours wraps neatly around the event instead of crashing into it. Share your plan in the first message and you will get a straight answer about timing. Message us on WhatsApp with your hotel and dates and we will set it up.
Because the celebration lasts more than a week, the smoothest bookings are the ones fitted around the parade and the party nights, with the closing weekend arranged first.
With no central venue, the celebration moves between street stages, clubs and Pride Park all week long.
Whichever neighbourhood your hotel sits in, the party is close by, and she can reach you there just as easily.
Guests fly in from abroad and settle in for many days, which explains why rooms are gone so early in the year.
All those extra visitors mean more requests for us too, so weekend plans are worth fixing the moment you know them.
Boats on the Prinsengracht close the festival, and that Saturday brings more requests than any other day of the nine.
Write to us a day or more before; on that weekend free women and clear streets both become scarce.
The festival is about openness, and the way our team answers a message reflects that, whoever happens to be writing.
Say plainly what you are hoping for and we suggest a woman who fits, without guessing and without judgement.
Nobody gets along the canal quays while the procession is passing, so an arrival has to fall before or after it.
Choosing an evening slot, or an overnight at EUR 1,250 for eight hours, keeps parade day relaxed for you both.
The busy calendar does not change how we treat your details: deleted after the booking, and no messages from us later.
With so many visitors coming and going, one more guest walking into your hotel draws even less attention.
Quiet canal lanes a short walk from the party.
→Terraces and bars buzzing late into summer nights.
→Wide avenues by the Vondelpark, calm after dark.
→A local summer feel east of the centre.
→For flights in or out during the festival.
→Half an hour away if Amsterdam is booked solid.
→A seaside base with rooms still free.
→Another city option on packed weekends.
→What people ask us most in the run-up to Pride. Something else on your mind? Send our team a message whenever it suits you.
The festival covers about nine days at the end of July and the start of August, and the Canal Parade sails on its last Saturday. Street parties and the Pride Park programme fill the first days before everything comes to a head on the closing weekend. We keep extra women on call for the full period.
Many thousands of visitors come for well over a week, so the hotels sell out long before. Add warm weather and a city in party mood and requests climb, with parade weekend the fullest stretch of the lot.
It is, provided the timing works around the boats. Mornings before the procession and evenings after it are easy to arrange, while during it the canal streets cannot be crossed. That is why we often suggest an evening slot or an overnight for that day.
Of course. Pride celebrates openness, and every message gets the same courteous, professional reply from us. Tell us what you would like and we propose a companion who suits it, quietly and without assumptions.
For the final weekend, writing a day or more in advance is sensible. Earlier in the week things are busier than normal yet still flexible, and a few hours usually suffice. The sooner you write, the more women you can choose from.
